Starboard is a maritime intelligence platform processing 4,000+ vessel positions per second for government agencies across New Zealand, Australia, and the Pacific.

Following their last raise, I partnered with the Chief of Marketing and Product to refresh Starboard's website, to improve content discovery and lead generation while transitioning off legacy technologies.

Website

When visiting Starboard's website, agencies evaluating their product struggled to find the relevant information that matched their needs. Despite the wealth of webinars and field operation reports a lot of information was buried under generic pages and hidden directories.

Working with Sales and Customer Success teams, I learned that prospects needed to see evidence of successful deployments before diving into technical specs.

Decision-makers wanted proof that similar agencies had solved comparable challenges.

From there I redesigned and built more than 20 new pages on Webflow, including migration of 100+ articles, field reports, and webinars from their legacy system.

This meant creating a clear structure with easy navigation, better SEO categories, and ways for visitors to find content that matched how they actually searched for intelligence solutions.

I also created a pricing page with separated tiers, information that had previously only existed behind closed sales meetings. This transparency helped prospects self-qualify and gave them clearer expectations before engaging with the sales team.

Along with the website redesign, I established maintenance documentation for in-house teams, enabling them to manage content updates and basic site modifications without external support.

After the website launch, the reorganized content helped visitors quickly find relevant case studies and technical details for their specific needs, whether border security, fisheries management, or environmental monitoring.
